1. Overview

SellSight ("we", "our", or "us") provides a dynamic pricing plugin for WooCommerce stores. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through the SellSight plugin and API, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. What Data We Collect

The SellSight plugin collects the following data from your WooCommerce store visitors:

  • Anonymous session identifiers — a randomly generated ID stored in the visitor's browser (cookie / localStorage). This ID does not identify any individual.
  • Product view events — which product pages a session has visited and how many times.
  • Add-to-cart and purchase events — whether a session added a product to cart or completed a purchase (used for conversion tracking).
  • Store identifier — the unique ID of your WooCommerce store within the SellSight system.

We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information (PII) from store visitors.

3. How We Use the Data

  • To calculate dynamic prices based on your configured pricing rules (e.g., discount after N product views).
  • To provide A/B test statistics and conversion metrics in the admin dashboard.
  • To enforce data retention limits based on your subscription plan.

We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Behavioral data is retained for a limited period based on your subscription plan:

  • Free plan: 7 days
  • Pro plan: 30 days
  • Business plan: 30 days

Data older than your plan's retention limit is automatically deleted by a scheduled cleanup job.

5. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud SQL / PostgreSQL) hosted in the United States (us-west1 region). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls.

6. Your Rights (Store Owners)

As a store owner using SellSight, you may:

  • Deactivate the plugin at any time, which stops all data collection immediately.
  • Request deletion of all data associated with your store by contacting us.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

The SellSight JavaScript SDK stores an anonymous session identifier in the visitor's browser using a cookie and/or localStorage. No personal information is stored. Visitors can clear their browser storage at any time to remove this identifier.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the plugin after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
